Wisdom in the Streets.

Happiness, Health, Wealth………. These are on the top of the list of things people search for.
People (me included) pay hundreds of rupees for seminars just to listen to people speak of how they may have more of these! It shows how important these things are !
Sometimes I wonder, I ask myself – Who are the people who are the happiest in this world? Or the more healthier or even wealthier?
I think about adults. Some believe in God, others don’t. Some are married others are not. But very few of them seem to live lightly and lovingly. Both the young and the old seem to be weighed down with the worries of life.
I then turned to Children! – Only children can leap, dance, shout………. Endless enthusiasm they seem to have !
I wonder do they have the secret to a happy life ?
Anyway what keeps them so bubbly, joyful n fresh ?? I found a few traits.

                                 They have -

A short memory –They really live by the maxim ‘Do not worry about tomorrow, for the morrow will take care of itself.’ Easier said than done. What if I told worry only robs you of potential energy you need for today. Chill, nothing’s final.

Enthusiasm – They care less for what others will think about them. Remember that’s a very important factor in life. Much has not been accomplished because of “Log kya Kahenge?” i.e what will people think about me?

Interest- oriented living – Its well proven; make learning interesting, the dumbest child will be involved ! Do more of whatever you are interested in. Easier said than done ? Give one hour of your day atleast thrice a week for your favourite hobby.

Forgiveness – Isn’t it amazing how two friends can fight like cocks and still be together the very next day? It’s important to not to forget to forgive. Many of us have deep seated hurts, insults, sores that are operating from deep down within. Take time to introspect…forgive…act like an idiot – forgive !

Desire to cry for they want – Cmon, I’m too dignified to cry for what I want ! Yeah, that’s right. But do you know that you are far more powerful than children to fulfill your own wants and cravings? The truth is most of us have never asked ourselves for a long time, “What do I want?” We have thought - that’s not important. What’s important is what do my kids want or my elders or the workplace or society. We rarely give space to – ‘What do I want?’

So friends LIVE LIFE because there is only one we get to live. Love the children, embrace them,    follow them, imitate them.
